Full Cycling Frog Drink Review

We’re excited to try our first Cycling Frog THC Seltzer as the brand has been making headlines recently as it rapidly expands across the US. The neat packaging on the 12oz cans draws you in, it looks like a drink you want to try. On opening, you get a wonderful black currant smell that is very appealing. The first sip is nice, although we do wish the flavor was a little stronger and lasted longer on the palette. The rich, black and red color of the drink makes for a welcome change to many of the clear seltzers we’ve tried (you want your drink to resemble the flavor which this does).

Cycling Frog Black Current is easy to drink, and every time you go to take a sip you get that delicious black currant smell again and again. The drink is refreshing and crisp, and there’s a sweetness to the seltzer but it is not excessive. Best enjoyed chilled or over ice, there’s a good level of carbonation that doesn’t go flat after opening.

With 5mg THC and 10mg CBD you get a nice gentle buzz that’s chilled, mellow, and relaxing, and makes this a great option for first-time cannabis drinkers. The cans don’t come with the same black xo seals some of the other brands use which allow you to reseal your can and pop back in the fridge, which can sometimes be a nice option to have.

Made with 100% natural fruit juice with no artificial flavors, and with 60 calories (half the average beer) it makes this a significantly healthier choice than an alcoholic drink. This is one of the better seltzers we’ve enjoyed, so why not swap out your next glass of wine or beer for a Cycling Frog.
