We like the purple can and we’re intrigued by the purple passion flavor profile. Being a fun, classic soda cannabis brand we have expectations of that good old grape flavor. On opening the smell has a mild grape layer to it and that follows through to the first taste. It’s not too sweet, not too much fizz, and very easy to drink. Some might say the grape balances really well with the THC… we’re on the fence as there is a hint of a weed taste that takes the shine off the drink for us. The drink looks good in a glass – dark purple is just what we expect.
Keef Purple Passion is best served chilled and on ice. Per other Keef reviews, there’s no CBD to tone down the levels of THC and help create a more relaxing high, but we didn’t find this a problem. You’ll start feeling a buzz in as little as 15 minutes. We enjoy the Keef high but we did feel sleepy after just one drink. There is no caffeine in the Keef sodas which is a bonus, calories are quite high though.
This is definitely better suited for the daytime drinker (being a soda). 10mg THC is also quite a bit in one can so if you’re new to cannabis drinks take it slow. If you’re a regular this is a cost-effective drink if you’re having a few (they also have a 100mg THC option in certain States).
